She includes classical yoga teachings as relevant to one's life on and off the mat, breath awareness, flowing vinyasa sequence and alignment exploration.
She allows her students to work at their pace, following the teacher's verbal as well as hands-on guidance. She provides asana options and variations for beginners, intermediate and advanced students, in both private & group settings. She also addresses their health concerns and gives nutritional guidance.
Dilush's passion for yoga began as a child — She has been practicing yoga since she was 15 years old. Her Buddhist upbringing introduced her to meditation practices at a very young age. She was already a yoga teacher when she was introduced to Jivamukti Yoga by a friend. She fell in love with Jivamukti method and soon after she earned her 300hr Jivamukti Yoga certification at a month-long residential program in Rhinebeck, NY. She later went on to earn her 800-hour certification in an apprenticeship program at Jivamukti Yoga NYC.
